A concert film shot during Lady Gaga's Chromatica Ball Tour is coming to HBO and Max later this month.
GAGA CHROMATICA BALL will make its premiere on the network at 8:00PM EST on Saturday, May 25.
According to a press release, the special was filmed in September 2022 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA in front of a sold-out crowd of 52,000. during her 2022 Chromatic Ball Tour.
The special is a labour of love for Mother Monster, who produced, directed, and created the concert film.
“Lady Gaga is a complete powerhouse,” said Nina Rosenstein, EVP, HBO Programming, Late Night & Specials in a statement. “She’s a once-in-a-lifetime artist who never holds back, and Gaga Chromatic Ball puts her endless list of talents on full display. We’re thrilled to partner with her once again for this breathtaking concert special.”
On her socials, Gaga expressed that "film chronicles a time of immense creativity…the fashion, the dance, the music. Revisiting the tour leaves me speechless the way we had each other—you all showed up for music and art in a big way, and with a level of excitement and freedom that I will never forget."
Adding, "I spent countless hours in the editing room bringing my vision for this film to life. It is my gift to you - directed, produced and created by me, alongside some of the most talented, creative people in the world."
