It’s been two years since Lana Del Rey reigned on the charts with her album Honeymoon. Now, she appears to be plotting her comeback as mysterious posters of the “Video Games” singer have begun appearing around Los Angeles.
Eagle-eyed fans have snapped the posters, which depict Lana Del Rey as a cinematic siren with the words “Young and in Love” scrawled across the top, along with the director’s name, Rich Lee. Could “Young and in Love” be the name of the new album?
While Lana Del Rey, real name Lizzy Grant, hasn’t confirmed anything or offered any details, internet sleuths have pointed out that the name “Young and in Love” had been registered earlier this year, naming collaborators Rick Nowels, Emile Haynie, and Benny Blanco. Haynie produced Del Rey’s 2012 studio album, Born to Die. Nowels contributed heavily to Del Rey’s previous 2015 album, Honeymoon.
Early on Saturday, a track called “Love” began circling the web. Upon a first listen, it sounds like signature Lana – brooding, dark and beautiful.
“Look at you kids, you know you're the coolest / The world is yours and you can't refuse it / Seen so much, you could get the blues / But that don't mean that you should abuse it,” she sings.
There are no details as of yet about when the full-length album will be released.
