Last night, the biggest sluggers in baseball were on display to hit 400-footers in the MLB's 2024 T-Mobile Home Run Derby. But it was a four-time Grammy nominated country singer who stole the show.

If you don't know the name Ingrid Andress, you will now. Ahead of last night's Home Run Derby, the 32-year-old sang the American National Anthem, and let's just say it was an unforgettable moment.

Throughout the minute-long performance, Andress passionately yodelled and quavered her way through "The Star Spangled Banner," raising eyebrows and generating some smiles from the players on the field.

And then, like clockwork, it blew up on social media, with many posts calling for Fergie's redemption, following her catastrophic, butchered jazz rendition at the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

People were quick to call Andress' performance the worst to ever occur, but they are either quickly forgetting or unaware that in 1990 comedian Roseanne Barr was asked to sing it at a San Diego Padres game. C'mon, it's not even close.

Still, we love these moments. Because we all know no one can ever come close to topping the best to ever do it.

See the performance and some of the commentary below.

Update: Andress has responded to the criticism, explaining that she was drunk during her performance. In a tweet, she wrote, "I'm not gonna bulls**t y'all. I was drunk last night. I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans and this country I love so much for that rendition. I'll let y'all know how rehab is I hear it's super fun."
