Lauryn Hill announced Tuesday that she is marking the 20th anniversary of her only album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, with a tour that includes a pair of Canadian dates.
The 1998 solo debut from the Fugees singer is considered one of the best albums of all time and spawned songs that continue to resonate today (Drake and Cardi B sampled Hill’s “Ex-Factor” on “Nice for What” and “Be Careful” respectively).
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill earned Hill 10 Grammy nominations – and she won five, including Album of the Year. The album has sold more than 20 million copies.
Hill, 42, will perform the album in its entirety in 27 U.S. cities beginning July 5. She will also stop at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on July 18 and at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, BC on Sept. 14.
