Lauv shared some exciting personal news on Wednesday – he “might be falling in love.”
The revelation came during the 25-year-old singer’s iHeartRadio Living Room Concert as he covered One Direction’s 2014 hit “Steal My Girl.”
Lauv said he rediscovered the song “because I might be falling in love, I don't know. Shhh.”
He explained: “This song is really the vibe right now for me, heavily. It's one of those things ... I feel like when you start to feel like you're into somebody, at least for me, I no longer want to hear sad songs. I no longer want to wallow, and I don't want to do the whole like, breakup songs. All you wanna hear is the stuff that just lights you on fire. And I kind of accidentally rediscovered this song, and it destroyed me in the best way.”
Still, Lauv performed his song “Modern Loneliness” and was joined remotely by Anne-Marie on “F**k I’m Lonely.” He also did his hit “I Like Me Better.”
The singer also debuted “Dishes,” a track he wrote during the COVID-19 lockdown. “I don't really know where I channeled it from, because you'll hear, it's sort of about missing somebody after you break up with them,” he explained, “and I haven't really broken up with anybody recently, so I'm not really sure where it came from. But, I love this song.”
