Lea Michele committed to making 2017 her big year by teasing the release of her second studio album Wednesday morning.
The singer-actress, known for her starring roles on Glee and Scream Queens, took to social media to announce the forthcoming release and her plans to do a limited number of live shows.
“2017 is off to an amazing start! Excited to announce my new album will be released soon,” she wrote. “Another New Years surprise …There will be limited live shows coming sooner than you think! Stay tuned!”
Last July, Michele shared a photo of herself in the recording studio and said she was "making the finishing touches on [her] second record," and added, "I'm so proud of this album and I'm so excited about everything to come!!!!"

Michele's debut effort Louder spawned her debut single "Cannonball," a power ballad co-written by Sia and Benny Blanco that was added to the set following the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith in July 2013.
"The minute I heard the song, I had a physical reaction to it. For me, it's been my strength," she told MTV, "I listen to it every day. I know it was brought into my life for a reason. It's really been so helpful for me and I hope it's the same for other people as it's been for me."
