Lenny Kravitz paid tribute to the late Prince during a taping of the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York City on Friday night.
“Doves weren't the only ones crying in the audience last night during @LennyKravitz emotional tribute to Prince,” read a tweet from the Rock Hall.
Backed by Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir, the rocker performed Prince’s 1984 hit “When Doves Cry” and 1987’s “The Cross.”
Prince was inducted into the Rock Hall in 2004.
This year’s inductees included ELO, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Joan Baez, Journey, and Yes.
