Liam Payne says he can’t wait to see his son take his first steps.
In a chat with South African YouTube star Caspar Lee, the 23-year-old singer talked about being a father to two-month-old Bear.
“I’m looking forward to when my son starts walking and talking,” he said. “It’s going to be the most amazing thing in the whole world.”
Payne also told Lee he’s anxious to get back in front of fans. “I miss being on stage a lot,” the One Direction star admitted.
“I’m hoping to go on tour if my music’s received well.”
Payne’s solo single “Strip That Down,” co-written by Ed Sheeran, includes the line: “You know I used to be in 1D, but now I’m out, free.”
The singer told Lee: “It's nice to be in control of your own destiny. Freedom is a beautiful thing.
"I'm sure everyone else in my group who's doing their thing is feeling that,” Payne added. "It was a good time and we really enjoyed ourselves and I loved the place that we got to in the band."
