Liam Payne got more than a ride when he took an Uber this week.
The driver, it turns out, was singer Jason Derulo’s uncle.
Payne waited outside the car while Derulo’s uncle called his famous nephew – who actually took the call.
“Yo, Jason. It’s Liam,” said Payne. “We did the TBS rap battle the other week. I’m with your uncle. What’s going on?”
The two stars had a brief chat before Payne offered to message Derulo via Instagram.
Payne shared the moment on Twitter. “Your uncle is a legend,” he wrote. Derulo retweeted the video.
