Liam Payne is reportedly on the mend after he was hospitalized with a kidney infection.
The former One Direction star's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, posted a quick update on TikTok, saying that Payne's health is improving.
“So I’ve gotten a lot of comments about Liam, asking how he’s doing, and I just want to let everybody know that he’s doing so much better,” Cassidy said. “He is out of the hospital and he is in good hands."
Last week, tabloids reported that Payne had been rushed to the hospital during a getaway with Cassidy in Lake Como, Italy. He spent time in A&E due to kidney pain.
Payne was forced to cancel his upcoming tour of South America last month, because of some health issues. On Instagram, he posted a message saying, "It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America. Over the past week I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover."
In May, Payne was celebrating his sobriety and revealed he was working on a new solo album, the follow-up to 2019's LP1.
