Lionel Richie announced Monday he is bringing his long list of hits to Canada this summer.
The 73-year-old singer is heading out on the Sing a Song All Night Long tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time on March 13.
Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire will play Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on Aug. 8 followed by the Bell Centre in Montreal on Aug. 9. They will be back in Canada on Sept. 12 for a show at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena.
Richie's hits include "All Night Long," "Stuck On You," "Hello" and "Dancing on the Ceiling" as well as Commodores classics like "Three Times a Lady" and "Easy." He is currently one of the judges on American Idol.
Earth, Wind & Fire is known for such hits as "Boogie Wonderland," "Shining Star" and "September." The current line-up includes Philip Bailey, Verdine Bailey and Ralph Johnson, all of whom have been in the band since the ‘70s.
