Alessia Cara has just released “Growing Pains,” the first single from her sophomore album.
"I’m feeling so excited and scared and happy u guys like it and can’t believe the support," Cara tweeted.
"Thank you guys for being the best and waiting for me on the other side. I hope it’s been worth the wait."
The Canadian singer, who turns 22 next month, had teased the new music by sending lyrics to fans and challenging them to collaborate to put the songs together.
Cara’s new album is a follow-up to her 2015 release Know-it-all, which spawned hits like “Scars to Your Beautiful.” She also collaborated with Zedd on the smash hit “Stay” and with Logic and Khalid on “1-800-273-8255.”
Earlier this year, Cara won a Grammy for Best New Artist.
