Billie Eilish has released the highly anticipated theme song to No Time to Die, the forthcoming 25th James Bond film.
The 18-year-old is the youngest artist in the history of the 007 franchise to record a theme and joins an impressive list that includes Madonna, Tina Turner, Duran Duran and Paul McCartney. Adele performed the Skyfall opener and Sam Smith recorded the theme to Spectre – and both won Best Original Song at the Academy Awards.
“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way,” said Eilish, in a release. “To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour.”
Eilish confirmed in mid-January that she was doing the theme song. "No Time To Die JAMES BOND. AND I AM SINGING THE THEME SONG,” she shared on Instagram. "WHAAT"
She penned “No Time to Die” with her brother and musical partner Finneas O’Connell. Johnny Marr of The Smiths plays guitar on the track, which features orchestral arrangements by famed composer Hans Zimmer and British conductor Matt Dunkley.
The singer will perform “No Time to Die” at the Brit Awards on Feb. 18. The movie, starring Daniel Craig, opens April 10.
