Canadian duo Chromeo has infused some funk into Lorde’s single “Green Light.”

The remix of the first track from Lorde’s forthcoming album Melodrama has the New Zealand singer’s stamp of approval.

Chromeo breathes new life into the track, which debuted in March and peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and at No. 9 on the Canadian Hot 100.

Melodrama is due out June 16.

Formed in Montreal, Chromeo (David "Dave 1" Macklovitch and Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel) has released four albums since 2004 and has earned a pair of Juno Award nominations. They have previously remixed artists like Feist, Tiga and Lenny Kravitz.
