Charlie Puth has teamed up with music icon James Taylor for a timely new song.

“Change” debuted on Monday and is the latest single from Puth’s forthcoming sophomore album Voicenotes.

“What a waste it would be to deny somebody / of a chance to be their selves,” Taylor, 70, sings.

“What a waste it would be if we hurt for nothing,” adds Puth, 26.

In the chorus, the duo asks: “Why can’t we just get along.”
