Cheap Trick made good on the band's promise to release more new music this year with its first single of 2018, "Summer Looks Good on You.”
Earlier this year, frontman Robin Zander promised a new Cheap Trick album was coming so the release of a single suggests the wait could soon be over.
"We’ve already got a couple of songs that are mixed and ready to go," Zander told Ultimate Classic Rock in April.
But, all tracks might not be as breezy as "Summer Looks Good on You." Zander added that Cheap Trick recorded a cover of John Lennon's 1971 protest song "Gimme Some Truth."
Cheap Trick released three albums in two years – 2016's Bang, Zoom Crazy...Hello, and 2017's We're All Alright! and Christmas Christmas.
Cheap Trick is in Toronto with Poison on June 19 and performing in Edmonton on July 25 and Winnipeg on Aug. 31.
