Country singer Chris Young honours icons of the genre like Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson and in his new single, “Raised On Country.”
“When someone cranks it up, you can’t help but listen / My upbringing sounds like George Strait singing,” he sings. “And I gotta give props to the radio / ‘cause if you know me / I was raised on country.”
Young describes the track as fun country anthem. “I couldn’t be happier to kick off a brand new year with brand new music I love this much,” he said, in a release.
Young's last album was 2017's Losing Sleep.
