Jon Pardi has shared “Old Hat,” another track from his forthcoming third studio album Heartache Medication.
The song, one of 14 on the country star’s follow-up to 2016’s California Sunrise, reflects on simpler times.
“When did old fashioned become so out of fashion? / When did we go out with the old, in with the new,” he sings. “And you can bet your ass / There’s a lot of us ol' cats / Wearin’ old boots and old hats / That ain't ready to give old hat the boot.”
Ahead of the Sept. 27 release of Heartache Medication, Pardi previously released the title track as well as “Ain’t Always The Cowboy,” “Me and Jack” and “Tequila Little Lime.”
