Elvis Costello’s sophomore album This Year’s Model is being re-released – without his lead vocals.
The collection, out Sept. 10, has various Spanish-language artists singing over the original instrumental tracks recorded by Costello and his band, the Attractions. Spanish Model features Juanes, Fito Paez, Luis Fonsi, Sebastian Yatra, Pablo Lopez, Cami and Jesse & Joy.
“Part of the fun of this project is its unexpected nature,” Costello said, in a release. “Although, I think people in my audience that have been paying attention are pretty much used to surprises by now.”
Released in 1978, This Year’s Model was Costello’s first with the Attractions.
