Canadian pop superstar Justin Bieber debuted his latest single on Thursday — a collaboration with BloodPop titled “Friends” that comes five years after he released "Boyfriend."
The track was co-written by Bieber and BloodPop (aka Michael Tucker) with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter. The same group (with Skrillex) created Bieber’s 2015 smash hit “Sorry” for his Purpose album.
Bieber has had big success with collaborations over the past year, including “Cold Water” (Major Laser and MØ), “Let Me Love You” (DJ Snake), “I’m The One” (DJ Khaled, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne), “Despacito (Remix)” (Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee), and “2U” (David Guetta).
“Friends” is the first new music from Bieber since he pulled the plug on his Purpose World Tour, citing his need for a break.
"Friends" is available wherever you access music.
