Lamb of God has released “New Colossal Hate,” another taste of the band’s forthcoming self-titled album, out June 19.
The track explores the divisive rhetoric about marginalized people. Guitarist Willie Adler described “New Colossal Hate” as his favourite on the album. “Please enjoy this banger of a tune,” he said, in a release. “It holds a very special place in my heart.”
Fans have already heard “Checkmate” and “Memento Mori” from what is Lamb of God’s eighth studio album and first since 2015. Produced by Josh Wilbur, includes songs about the opioid crisis (“On the Hook”), school shootings (“Reality Bath”) and frontman D. Randall Blythe’s experience protesting with native people at Standing Rock (“Routes”).
