Little Mix has debuted the group’s first Christmas song, “One I’ve Been Missing.”
Written by Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock with Tre Jean-Marie, Jez Ashurst, Sinead Harnett and Rachel Furner, the track was inspired by holiday songs from the 1950s.
"I need to show you just how much I love you this Christmas," they sing. "Is it the lights in your eyes? / They’ve never shone so bright I’ve waited all year to be near to the one I’ve been missing."
Pinnock explained, in a release: “We absolutely love Christmas, it's our favourite time of the year. We’ve always wanted to write and release a Christmas song, we were just waiting for the right moment! The minute I finished writing 'One I've Been Missing' I couldn't wait to play it to the other three girls.”
Little Mix – which is also made-up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall – released its fifth studio album, LM5, in November 2018.
In 2015, they released a Christmas mix of their single “Love Me Like You.”
