Maroon 5 has a brand new single called "Don't Wanna Know" -- but this is one song you will definitely WANT to know.
Adam Levine and crew teamed up with Kendrick Lamar for their latest track, which is the first new music we've heard from the band since they released their 2014 album V.
"Don't Wanna Know," showcases a noticeably different sound than what we've heard in the past from both Maroon 5 and Lamar. Instead of pop/rock or hip hop, the song, produced by Benny Blanco, radiates a more pop-friendly tropical house vibe. It may be fall right now, but the summer lives on through this awesome new collaboration.
The official "Don't Wanna Know" music video is also set to debut this week. According to a press release, the visual promises to be "another unique, unforgettable, and undeniable visual clip," as Maroon 5 has teamed up with acclaimed director/producer/screenwriter David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers), who was behind the band's "Sugar" music video -- which was their most viewed video to date with 1.4 billion YouTube/VEVO views.
Fans can also catch Maroon 5 perform their new song for the first time on Nov. 3 on Ellen. No word on whether or not Lamar will be joining them, but we are definitely keeping our fingers crossed!
