Robin Thicke unveiled “Deep” on Monday, a catchy new single that features deep thoughts from rapper Nas.
Nas addresses racial tensions in America and police brutality — and takes a shot at U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“And you don’t think it’s an emergency,” he raps. “A toupée-wearing liar is tryna run the USA.”
Thicke, the son of beloved Canadian actor Alan Thicke, makes the song more introspective, musing on a relationship.
There’s no word about the status of a new album from Thicke, who hasn’t released one since 2014’s critically-panned Paula.
The 39-year-old “Blurred Lines” singer last performed in Canada on June 27 at a cancer fundraising in Montreal.
