Pop singer Robyn on Wednesday released “Honey,” the title track of her forthcoming album.
An early version of the song was used in the finale of Girls last year.
“After Lena [Dunham] used ‘Dancing On My Own' in the first season of Girls, in the most amazing way, I was so happy she asked me if she could put another of my songs in the series,” Robyn said, on Instagram. “I sent her some music I'm working on and she picked 'Honey.' It wasn't ready to be released, but we finished this version for her and Girls.”
Honey, which drops Oct. 26, will be Robyn’s first collection of new music since 2010’s Body Talk.
