Sean Lennon shared a song on Monday that he co-wrote with his late friend, Carrie Fisher.
“Carrie and I wrote this song years ago,” Lennon wrote of “Bird Song.”
“When she died I just felt I had to record it. This is only a demo unmixed, we only had a few hours to record it. But the lyrics she wrote with me I think are marvelous.
“Carrie and I used to stay up ’til dawn chatting and pontificating about life. They were my best moments.”
Fisher died Dec. 27, several days after suffering cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was 60.
Lennon, 41, is the son of Beatles icon John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
The recording of “Bird Song” features vocals from Willow Smith.
