The Weeknd has shared the deeply personal title track of his new album After Hours.
“My heart belongs to you / I’ll risk it all for you / I won't choose to leave / This time I'll never leave,” he sings. "I wanna share babies / Protection we won't need / Your body next to me / Is just a memory.”
The 30-year-old Canadian, who split from model Bella Hadid last summer, also sings: “I'd give it all just to hold you close / Sorry that I broke your heart.”
Elsewhere in the song he accepts blame for the failure of a relationship and admits to being dishonest. “Can't hide the truth,” he sings. “I stayed with her in spite of you.”
The song follows “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights” off The Weeknd’s new album, which drops March 20. The cover shows the singer with blood on his face.
