Health care workers treating COVID-19 patients are getting free lunches courtesy of Lizzo.
The “Juice” singer is sending food to a number of U.S. hospitals where staff are working around the clock during the pandemic.
“Thank you @Lizzo for sending lunches to the UW Medical Center - Montlake Emergency Department today,” read a tweet from the Seattle hospital. “Your support of our frontline healthcare workers means a lot.”

The meals came with a personal message to hospital workers via Twitter. “You guys are heroes so the least I could do is send you some lunch,” Lizzo said in a video. “I hope you guys enjoy the food … and I hope that you feel loved and appreciated because you really truly are.”

A worker at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta tweeted a photo of a receipt from Lizzo’s delivery and wrote: “We are so thankful.”
In a video for those workers, Lizzo said: “The least I could do is send y’all some lunch, just to show you a token of my appreciation. So, I hope you enjoy the meal – it’s on me – and I hope it puts a smile on your face today because you deserve it.”

Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital publicly thanked Lizzo “from the bottom of our hearts … for making our day brighter with your generosity.”
She told ER staff there: “I wanted to treat y’all to a meal and I really hope that you guys enjoy the food. We did everything that we could to keep it safe for y’all, so, you know, lunch on me.”
Lizzo’s rep said the “Juice” singer is planning to send more meals to hospitals.
