Lorde has reportedly turned down an opportunity to perform at Sunday night's Grammy Awards.
Out of the five artists nominated for Album Of The Year, both Lorde and Jay Z have declined performing during the ceremony. Other nominees in the category, who are all scheduled to perform, include Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar.
Sources close to Lorde revealed to TMZ that she made the decision not to take the stage after a heated back-and-forth battle with Grammy producers. Lorde originally wanted to perform one of her songs from her nominated Melodrama album, but was only offered the option of being part of the collaborative Tom Petty tribute, in which artists will come together to sing the late singer’s “American Girl.”

(This year, Lorde is the only woman nominated for album of the year; she is not scheduled to perform.)”
In 2014, Lorde was awarded her first Grammys, for Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her breakout hit “Royals.”
On Friday night, Lorde performed a captivating rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs” during the band’s MusiCares pre-Grammy event.
