Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter on Wednesday to share his thoughts on a British tabloid story headlined: “Drugs, meltdowns and ‘gay sex’ rumours - how 'rivalry and hatred’ tore One Direction apart.”
The singer called the July 23 article by Frances Kindon the “biggest load of bulls**t I’ve seen in a while.” He added: “Typical unprovoked venom from The Mirror. Couldn’t be further from the truth!”
The article was timed for the ninth anniversary of Tomlinson being put together on The X Factor with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne to form One Direction.
According to The Mirror, one of the factors in the group’s 2015 break-up was the “Larry Stylinson” fan fiction about an imagined sexual relationship between Styles and Tomlinson. (Styles has not publicly labelled his sexuality, Tomlinson has said he is straight.)
Tomlinson tweeted this summer about an explicit animated "Larry Stylinson" scene in an episode of Euphoria. “I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it," he wrote.
