Louis Tomlinson shared the news Saturday that he has severed ties with Simon Cowell’s record label.
“Hope everyone is doing ok! Just wanted to let you know that Syco Music and I have agreed to part ways,” the singer tweeted. “I'm really excited for the future and to be back in the studio writing the next album. Can't wait to finally see you all on tour!! Stay safe and see you soon.”
Syco Music, which also represented One Direction, is part of Cowell’s joint venture with Sony Music. Last year, Tomlinson co-signed with Arista, a subsidiary of Sony.
Tomlinson released his debut solo album Walls in January. It peaked at No. 9 in both Canada and the U.S. and at No. 4 in his native UK.
