Loving Mary — a band featuring a pair of Canadians — is offering up “A Little Bit of Love.”
The first single off the country group’s debut album of the same name, which comes out Oct. 28, is now available on iTunes.
Based in Nashville, Loving Mary is a six-piece band that includes Canadian singer artist Suzie McNeil and her husband, Canadian musician Andrew Mactaggart.
They’re joined by Marti Frederiksen, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Elisha Hoffman and Sarah Tomek.
Loving Mary had a busy summer as the backing band for Steven Tyler’s Out on a Limb tour, which made stops in Vancouver and Toronto.
During his show in Toronto, the Aerosmith frontman invited McNeil to perform her 2007 homegrown hit “Believe” — while he handled the back-up vocals.
The song, which appeared on McNeil’s debut album Broken & Beautiful, was used in Bell’s Own the Podium campaign in support of Canada’s athletes at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
After placing fourth on the reality competition series Rock Star: INXS in 2005, McNeil launched a successful solo career that spawned three studio albums and earned her a Juno nomination for Best New Artist.
