Fresh from being named Male Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards last week, Luke Combs finds himself with a No. 1 album.
What You See Is What You Get, which came out Nov. 8, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, which spans all genres of music.
It’s the first time Combs has held the No. 1 spot on the album chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the U.S.
According to Nielsen Music, What You See Is What You Get sold 172,000 equivalent album units in the week ended Nov. 14. It was the biggest week for a country album since Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty was released in September 2018 and only the second country album to top the Billboard 200 this year (after Thomas Rhett’s Center Point Road in June).
Combs first studio album, 2017’s This One’s for You peaked at No. 4.
