Lupe Fiasco's new song "N.E.R.D" has been such a... fiasco that he announced Tuesday he's done making music.
"I'm officially not making music anymore," he tweeted. "Getting beat up for telling the truth is not how I plan on spending the rest of my life."
The beating Fiasco is referring to came via social media due to a line in "N.E.R.D." that many have called anti-Semitic: "Artists gettin’ robbed for their publishing / By dirty Jewish execs who think that it’s alms from the covenant."
On Twitter, Fiasco fired back at the criticism. "And this makes me an anti-Semite how?"
He added: "If you feel that I'm an anti-Semite because I noted that race/religion of the perpetrator then that's your opinion."
Fiasco, whose real name is Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, said he has been at Auschwitz and has studied Judaism. "I embedded myself in all the facets of their culture and religion and seen 1st hand both the dark side & the light sides," he tweeted.
But, after claiming Soundcloud removed "N.E.R.D." as hate speech, Fiasco threw in the towel.
"I'm done."
The 34-year-old said three new albums he previously said he planned to release are now cancelled.
In 2012, Fiasco took to Twitter vowing that Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 would be his last ever -- but he released Tetsuo & Youth last year.
