Rapper-singer M.I.A. vowed Friday to go M.I.A. from Twitter this weekend.
In a string of tweets, the 41-year-old Brit took on mental health, the Trump administration and Twitter.
She promised her 706,000 followers: “I’m deleting my twitter account in 24hrs.”
M.I.A. said that since Twitter “doesn’t delete the accounts of people with mental disorder for free speech sake” it should fund research “on how we can help, prevent and cure people suffering.”
The Grammy- and Oscar-nominated star accused the Trump administration of being “pathological liars.”
She ended her rant with: “Ok I’ll go twitter deep sleep.”
M.I.A. released her fifth studio album, AIM, last September.
