Maggie Rogers took to Twitter to call out a man in the audience at one of her shows last week who yelled out “take your top off.”

The 25-year-old singer wrote: “i was stunned. furious. fuming. confused. and also – on a really basic level – it really hurt my feelings.”

Rogers was addressing fans before performing an acoustic version of “Alaska” at the end of her show in Austin, Texas when the man made the rude remark. Another shouted: “You cute though.”

The singer wrote: “i step on stage every night with a deep reverence for the stage, my craft, and the privilege that is making music for my job. i’ve been writing and producing music for 10 years – my body is my greatest tool for communicating that work.”

Rogers explained she went public with the incident because “there is no space for harassment or disrespect or degradation of any kind at my show.”
