Just one day after a security guard was shot outside of Drake’s Bridle Path mansion, a man has been arrested for trying to break into the $100 million estate.
Toronto Police have confirmed to the media that “officers were called after a person attempted to gain access to the property. The person was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.”
According to local reporter Tracy Tong, the man tried to gain entry into the property at the front gates, saying he was “here to see Drake.” Security then “fought” and apprehended the man before calling the police.
A significant police presence remains at the property following Tuesday’s early morning shooting.
Drake has been tied up in a very public beef with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar for the past week, which has included multiple back-and-forth diss tracks between the two.
At Drake’s OVO store in London on Tuesday (May 7), lyrics from Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” were graffitied on the front store window.
