Country-pop singer Maren Morris is going to be a mom!
The 29-year-old, who married singer Ryan Hurd in March 2018, shared the happy news on Instagram late Tuesday.
“The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the ‘GIRL’ headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out,” she captioned a photo, referencing the title of her latest album. “See you in 2020, little one.”
Hurd, 32, borrowed from Seinfeld on Instagram, captioning a pic of the couple: "MY BOYS CAN SWIM. BABY BOY HURD 2020! Look at her...cannot believe this life with this girl. Also, thank you George Constanza for this caption that I’ve been sitting on my entire life…”
According to a tweet by Hurd, the baby boy is due in March.
The pregnancy likely didn’t come as a surprise. Last year, Morris was asked during a Twitter Q&A if she planned to have kids. “I literally have it blocked out on my calendar next year,” she replied. Last December, she captioned a pic of herself and Hurd: “Gonna have your babies.”
In addition to her country tunes, Morris has had success with her collaboration with Zedd and Grey, “The Middle,” and recorded “Seeing Blind” with Niall Horan.
