Rap superstar Drake and author Margaret Atwood both live in Toronto, where the TV adaptation of Atwood’s acclaimed novel The Handmaid’s Tale is filmed. So, could fans see Drake in the second season of the drama series?
“Wouldn’t it be fun for him to have a cameo in season two of The Handmaid’s Tale?,” Atwood wondered aloud in an interview with Boston Review.
We know Drake can act. He got his start playing Jimmy Brooks on the made-in-Toronto series Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Atwood, 77, admitted that she has never met the 30-year-old music star. “You have to realize how old I am. I’m not likely to go to the same parties. Or many parties at all, to be frank.”
Season 2 of The Handmaid’s Tale, which airs in Canada on Bravo (part of Bell Media, parent company of iHeartRadio Canada), is scheduled to shoot from September until February.
