Mariah Carey announced late Tuesday that she is pulling the plug on a concert in Hawaii over fears about the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
“I'm so so sad to have to announce that I'm postponing my show to November,” the pop star wrote in a message to fans on Instagram. “I was so excited to come back to Hawaii on my ‘anniversary month’ but evolving international travel restrictions force us to consider everyone's safety and well being.”
Carey was scheduled to perform on March 10 in Honolulu. The U.S. island has not had any reported cases of coronavirus.
Carey said she will take her All I Want for Christmas Is You & Hits show to Hawaii in November. She shared: “I can’t wait to see you! Stay safe!!”
The show is set for Nov. 28.
