After her unfortunate performance during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest last year, Mariah Carey is getting a second chance to ring in the New Year right.
The pop star announced on Friday that she will return to the stage in Times Square on New Year's Eve. “Take 2. #RockinEve #NYE,” she wrote on Instagram.

Carey’s performance last year was not one of her greatest. She claimed her audio and earpiece failed, and blamed the production company for trying to sabotage her performance in order to get higher ratings – an allegation Dick Clark Productions denied.
"We can all agree that last year didn't go exactly as planned and we are thrilled to move forward together to provide America with an incredible night of music and celebration on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2018," read a statement from producers. "See you in Times Square!"
