Mariah Carey is cashing in on Christmas once again as “All I Want For Christmas Is You” – released 26 years ago – tops the U.S. singles chart.
It is the fourth time the track from her 1994 album Merry Christmas has made it to No. 1 on the Billboard 100, tying with “The Chipmunk Song” by The Chipmunks with David Seville for the most weeks by a holiday song.
This is also the 83rd week Carey has had a song atop the Hot 100, solidifying her title as the artist with the most weeks at No. 1. (Rihanna is a distant second with 60.)
“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is one of five holiday songs in the Top 10 this week. It is joined by Brenda Lee's “Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree” (No. 3), Bobby Helms' “Jingle Bell Rock” (No. 5), Andy Williams' “It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” (No. 6) and Jose Feliciano's “Feliz Navidad” (No. 10).

Carey’s new remix of “Oh Santa!” with Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande (from 2010's Merry Christmas II You) debuts at No. 76 on the Hot 100. On the Billboard 200 albums chart, Merry Christmas is No. 10 and the soundtrack to Mariah Carey’s Christmas Special is No. 100.
At No. 4 on the Billboard 200 is Christmas, the 2011 album from Canada’s Michael Bublé that happens to include a cover of “All I Want For Christmas.”
This marks the 10th consecutive year the album has been in the Top 10. Mostly produced by Bublé’s fellow Canadians David Foster and Bob Rock, it was the first holiday collection to win Album of the Year at the Juno Awards.
Carrie Underwood, Nat King Cole and Pentatonix also have holiday albums in the Top 10.
