Metallica are the next big name set to join the Fortnite universe.
The legendary metal band are set to make their debut in v30.10 tomorrow (June 13), as Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Robert Trujillo and Lars Ulrich become the Icons of Season 4, the Fortnite news team reports.
Players can "seek and destroy your opponents on the new Battle Stage, shred to your favourite Metallica tracks on the Jam Stage and Main Stage, and unlock in-game rewards by tearing your way through the Season 4 Festival Pass."
There is also a Battle Royale POI based on the M72 World Tour and a Rocket Racing track.
“Puppet Master” outfits, as well as the band's biggest hits, like “Enter Sandman,” “Fuel,” “Master of Puppets,” “Ride the Lightning,” “The Unforgiven” and “Wherever I May Roam” will be available to purchase in the shop to help fans fight fire with fire.
There is also an exclusive Metallica x Fortnite merch line that includes four new shirts available here.
