Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo are banging out classic covers next month in front of about 200 fans in the Toronto area.
The musicians will be joined by ex-Ugly Kid Joe singer Whitfield Crane and former Queens of the Stone Age drummer Joey Castillo at Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill, Ont. on July 26.
Tickets, which go on sale today at noon, are $200 for general admission and $300 for VIP access.
“This unlikely bunch is coming to play all your favourite classic covers from bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, and more,” reads a description of the show.
Metallica fans know that Hammett and Trujillo regularly perform covers during their band’s concerts – usually a song from an artist who hails from the city they’re in.
Cosmo Music is where, at the beginning of June, Rush frontman Geddy Lee showed up for an autograph signing with pal Dave Grohl.
