Michael Bublé and his family are looking forward to a happier holiday this year because son Noah is "doing very well" in his cancer battle.
Entertainment Tonight quoted a source as saying Christmas was "a tense time for the Bublé family" last year. "It was a really scary time for everyone," the unnamed source is quoted as saying.
Noah, 4, was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016. Bublé and actress wife Luisana Lopilato announced they were putting their careers on hold to focus on their son's health. The couple also has son Elias, who turns two next month.
"We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle," Bublé wrote on Facebook in November 2016.
In February, Bublé updated his son's condition in a statement. "Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy," it read.
Then, in April, Lopilato said: "We are very happy. We are looking forward to thinking about the future, to seeing our children grow."
This week, ET reported that Noah is "an energetic little boy" and said "there's no doubt Christmas will be extra special at the Bublé household this year.” It added that, after a year of being away from the stage, the Canadian crooner is "eager to get back on the stage."
Last month, Bublé announced he will be performing in London in July. And he will host the Juno Awards in March in his hometown Vancouver – after dropping out of the gig this year in Ottawa.
