Michael Jackson once believed he should take over the role of James Bond.
This surprising revelation comes in a new memoir, Who is Michael Ovitz? by the titular veteran Hollywood agent, as reported Tuesday by Page Six.
Ovitz recalled a meeting with fellow agent Ron Meyer in which the King of Pop "was pitching us hard on how he was America's next action hero."
He said Jackson told him: "I want to play James Bond."
Ovitz said he told the “Thriller” singer that he wasn’t exactly suited to play the famed British spy 007. He told Jackson: “You’re thinly built, you’re too sensitive, you won’t be credible as a block of stone. You’d be great at it, of course, but it’d be bad for you.”
