Michelle Branch got a very special 34th birthday gift on Sunday — an engagement ring!
The singer’s boyfriend, Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, popped the question just as she was blowing out candles on her cake.
“I had nothing left to wish for,” Branch shared on Instagram, where she posted a photo of the sparkler on her left hand.
“34 might be the best year yet.”
Branch and Carney reportedly fell in love two years ago while working together on her new album Hopeless Romantic.
It will be the second marriage for Branch, who has an 11-year-old daughter with musician Teddy Landau, to whom she was married from 2004 until 2014.
Carney, 37, has been married twice before – to writer Denise Grollmus from 2007 to 2009 and to Emily Ward from 2012 until early 2016.
