Midnight Oil will burn up stages in Canada again this summer.
The Australian band has added a second leg to The Great Circle 2017 World Tour that includes shows in five Canadian cities.
The first leg of the tour includes a sold-out concert tonight (May 20) in Toronto and a June 2 stop in Vancouver.
After hitting several cities in Europe and UK followed by Singapore and South Africa, Midnight Oil will return to North America for nine more shows.
The band will hit Montreal’s Place des Arts on Aug. 23, Budweiser Stage in Toronto on Aug. 25, the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Aug. 31, Calgary’s BMO Centre on Sept. 2, and the Shaw Convention Centre in Edmonton on Sept. 3.
Homegrown rocker Matthew Good will open for Midnight Oil in Canada.
The band has released 11 studio albums since 1978.
