As with the rest of America, Miley Cyrus is extremely moved and disheartened by Donald Trump's win as the 45th President of the United States as seen in a brand-new video post via Twitter.
On Wednesday morning (November 9), the pop titan took to the social media platform to share a very candid response to the political milestone. "Maybe I really am different and maybe a lot of people that I'm surrounded by think with open minds and open hearts like I do. I do wanna say that I am very vocal for my support for everyone besides Donald Trump. [I] heavily supported Bernie [Sanders], heavily supported Hillary," she tearfully told the camera.
Cyrus went on to emphasize that she believes Clinton absolutely deserved the presidency. "I still think that in her lifetime, she deserves to be the first female president. That's what makes me so sad. I just wish that she had that opportunity because she's fought for so long and because I believe her when she says she loves this country."
Later on, the pop star told Trump that she accepts his presidency as a hopeful hippie. "Please just treat people with love and compassion and respect and I will do the same for you," she added.
