Miley Cyrus is among those shaking their heads at images of long line-ups outside Costco and empty shelves inside supermarkets as people isolate themselves from COVID-19.
“NO ONE needs every soup in the store,” the singer tweeted on Sunday, urging her fans to be thoughtful, respectful and compassionate.
“The more we hoard the more expensive and sparse necessities will become, leaving many without essentials,” she wrote. “This is a great time to practice restraint.

Cyrus added: “It’s incredibly difficult to make smart decisions while panicking , but think twice before following the fear and being inconsiderate. There is enough to go around if we take care of one another.
“This is a beautiful time to LEAD!”
Cyrus is not the only pop star to share a message about human behaviour during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift urged their young fans to heed warnings about social isolation and Lady Gaga addressed the anxiety many people are currently feeling.
